Revenues Team Leader Vacancy Available

Hours: Full time
Venn Group are currently working with a Local Authority in Devon who are seeking a Revenues Team Leader to start at short notice until the end of October with a chance of extension. The Local Authority want some occasional onsite attendance for face-to-face meeting but the frequency can be negotiated
Main duties of the job:
- Leading the Revenues Service in the administration, collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates
- Maximising income, preventing fraud and error, and determining the most appropriate and sustainable methods of securing payments
- Full line management of direct reports and overall responsibility of employees within the Revenues Service
- Responsible for policy creation and reviewing, writing and presenting committee reports, preparing, and submitting accurate government returns required for Council Tax and Business Rates by due deadlines
- Leading on projects, working with the corporate procurement team, contract, and financial risk management for the Revenues Service
- Using the Academy system (Academy experience is preferable, not essential)
