Sheridan Maine is delighted to partner with a well-respected central Bristol-based charity in their search for a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant. This part-time role (22.5 hours per week) will be varied and will focus on managing the Sales Ledger for several group companies, including chasing outstanding debt.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include:
- Raising invoices.
- Setting up new customers on the system and completing new supplier forms.
- Perform a range of reconciliations.
- Proactively chase outstanding debt, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and ensuring timely payments.
- Respond to and resolve internal and external queries.
- Request refunds for customer overpayments in a timely manner.
- Set up customer credit agreements.
- Assist the finance team with various tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to help where required.
The successful Finance Assistant will require:
- Previous experience in a similar finance or role, in particular sales ledger or credit control.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
