Health and Safety Officer
Salary: £30k - £35k
Job Type: 6 month fixed-term contract

The company:
A UK leading food retailer and manufacturer with a track record of growing success every year on year. Due to maternity leave, they are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join their team.
Your role will include:
- You will be looking after 3 sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, supporting the Health & Safety Manager
- Maintain accurate records relating to fire safety, accidents, first aid, and other precautionary measures.
- Support environmental, COSHH, task, and DSE risk assessments.
- Participate in health and safety surveillance audits and collate maintenance data on plant and equipment safety.
- Review health and safety policies, SOPs, and safe systems of work.
What you will need to succeed:
- Be available to start in the coming 2 weeks
- Experience in a similar, fast-paced, multi-faceted role where no 2 days are the same
- Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English as a minimum
- Health & Safety qualification, whether it be IOSH, NEBOSH, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds
- Good organisational and administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
