Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key link between multiple suppliers and freight partners, taking responsibility for coordinating shipments between suppliers
  • Oversee the movement of goods worldwide, ensuring each shipment is efficient, cost-effective, and dispatched promptly
  • Thoroughly check and verify all shipping documentation and complete all necessary documentation, such as invoicing, packing lists, bills of lading, and import documents
  • Work closely with the finance team to reconcile freight costs against invoices, ensuring precise freight accounting
  • Ensure compliance by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of country-specific duty and commodity codes
  • Monitor logistics performance, analysing metrics and data to generate reports and identify areas of improvement
  • Become the key point of contact, internally and externally, for all logistics-related queries
  • Support customers with logistics queries and resolving issues, in a prompt and professional manner
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to keep everyone aligned and operations running smoothly

Logistics Coordinator Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced in logistics and supply chain, ideally gained as a Logistics Coordinator with particular experience in freight management
  • Possesses a proven track record of handling inbound and outbound shipments with a good understanding of document requirements to ensure prompt clearance of product
  • Familiar with duty, commodity codes, and bills of lading matters
  • Confident in dealing with and supporting customers, multiple suppliers, and freight partners
  • Excellent administration skills, is detailed with a keen eye for detail
  • IT literate, competent user of all Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel, experience in tracking systems, ERP, and SAGE is also required
  • Results-driven with a positive attitude and drive to complete each task to a high standard
  • Enjoys being part of a collaborative team but also possesses the initiative to work independently
