Summary:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals facing domestic abuse? Our client, a leading Charity in the Tower Hamlets & Hackney area, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Service Manager to join their team on a fixed-term contract.

As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team and ensuring the provision of a safe, empowering, and co-produced approach to supporting adults with severe and enduring mental health needs. (Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and lead a high-performing team to achieve individual and service outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures including GDPR, Safeguarding Adults and Children, Health and Safety, Care Act, housing-related support, Mental Health services, and our client's internal policies.
  • Foster effective relationships with teams, individuals, and service users through excellent communication skills.
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships both within and beyond the organisation.
  • Prioritise Hestia's safeguarding procedures and legislation to ensure the safety of the service and all team members.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with policy, legislation, and good practise.
  • Deliver co-produced services that are outcome-based and person-centred.
  • Support others in challenging discrimination and promoting inclusion.
  • Uphold a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and legislation.
  • Commit to personal development and ensure the continuous improvement of knowledge and practise within the team.
  • Manage service resources, including recruitment, retention, budgetary control, disciplinary and grievance processes, arrears and voids management, and service performance data.
  • Utilise strategies for self-resilience and well-being while meeting workload requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational policies, procedures, and values in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to participate in strategic planning and contribute to policy and practise development.

Person Specification:

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve service outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing support services for clients with complex mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing, and auditing support and safety assessment plans.
  • Excellent understanding and implementation of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Proficient in analysing KPIs, outcomes, and user experience measures to ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Experience in developing and implementing annual Business Plans.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in IT packages including MS Office and databases.
  • Understanding of housing management, including arrears, voids, health and safety, and property standards.
  • Experience in budget planning, negotiation, and management.
  • Commitment to partnership working with service users and implementing co-production practises.
  • Familiarity with recruitment, induction, supervision, training, disciplinary action, and grievance handling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and their appropriate handling.
