Business Support Engineer
Location: UK, London (Remote)
Length: 6 months
Rate: £48.00 p/h (Inside IR35)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Overview:
The role includes a combination of partner-facing time to understand their technical and business needs and write some code to address those needs. That coding output can be in the form of internal queries, APIs, product integrations, or tools to help partners achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. We also design and deliver technical solutions critical to our partners' success. In doing so, we help partners realize the full value of working with the family of apps focusing on helping them grow their business with us while reducing the effort and investment to leverage our platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer building and shipping products or equivalent experience
- B.A./B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
- Experience with open-source languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Objective-C/C++, Swift, Java, Kotlin, or C#
- Knowledge of the Web technology stack (for example HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- Experience with software design and architecture
- Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Top 3 must-haves:
- Python, and Javascript , Hack(php)
- Stakeholder management / Good Communication
- Agility (moving between coding to stakeholder management)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with REST APIs and developer platforms
- Experience working on multi-person code bases including open-source or personal projects
- Experience with open-source contributions (especially as part of larger projects)
- Experience contributing to developer and platform documentation
- Client/partner-facing and/or experience communicating to an audience is preferred
- Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP
