Description
- Manage VAT compliance and advisory matters for the company.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns on a timely basis.
- Identify opportunities for VAT savings and process improvements.
- Assist with VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities.
- Provide VAT training to relevant staff within the company.
- Stay informed about changes in VAT legislation and interpret their impact on the company.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure VAT compliance across the business.
- Manage relationships with external VAT advisors and consultants.
Profile
A successful Tax Accountant (VAT) should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of VAT legislation and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the retail industry.
- Proficiency in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
