Job Title: Financial Controller

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Job Summary
The Financial Controller oversees daily financial operations, including the team of 10 in finance. This is a pivotal role in the business including internal control, accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role suits a qualified ACA or ACCA professional with significant experience in financial management and accounting and will be in a similar position currently.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead and manage the finance function including PL, GL, Treasury and management accounting function. Prep and review internal and external financial reports and annual financial statements. You should be well versed in managing the end to end monthly close, treasury, cash management and cashflow forecasting.
- Financial Management & Reporting: Manage daily accounting operations and prepare financial statements. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Implement and maintain internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage audits.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and develop the finance team, conducting performance evaluations and training.
- Strategic Planning: Provide financial insights for business decisions, manage financial risks, and oversee capital management.
- Process Improvement: Enhance financial systems, streamline processes, and leverage technology for efficiency.
**Qualifications & Skills
- ACA/ACCA Qualified: Essential.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a Financial Controller role
- Have ideally worked within a high volume multisite retail or manufactuing sector with some inventory experience ideally.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven team management and clear communication skills.
