PR Account Executive

My client is a growing Leeds based PR agency that are on an expansion drive and are looking to appoint a PR Account Executive to their team of 9.

They work on a mix of consumer and B2B clients across retail, shopping centres, care homes, legal, healthcare, education and interiors, sustainability and utilities clients.

They have a hybrid working model of a couple of days in the office and the rest from home.

Following a spate of new business wins and a chokka pipeline of opportunities, they need to build their team with strong recruits who are brimming with passion and have all the strategic know-how to drive forward results for our brilliant clients.

They are looking for a confident, savvy and responsible Account Executive. As a PR Account Executive, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tactical activities such as media liaison and coverage generation, and the delivery of press office items such as press releases, case studies and features tracking.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Identifying coverage opportunities and developing activity to target them successfully;
  • Administrative tasks on client accounts and ensuring documentation and information is filed appropriately and being consistently on top of client coverage (scanning, filing, sending and analysing).
  • You will support the Account Manager on day to day account activity; ensure that any delays or problems are reported back to the team effectively.
  • We need a 'news junkie' who can regularly monitor key publications across all clients and take appropriate action to highlight any key stories whilst seeking opportunities to build relationships with key media.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Excellent time management skills,
  • The ability to support and control a multitude of activities and be able to handle multiple tasks and accounts, prioritise tasks and negotiate deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills are a must as is a strong attention to detail.
  • We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role with a great portfolio of media coverage achieved and good media contacts.
