What is the role?
Bury Council are looking for a Casual Support Assistant BEST to join their Service Care Team, which is a supported employment service for young people and adults to help find employment.
What are your responsibilities?
- There is one shift pattern 9.30 to 15.30pm Monday to Friday
- You will be based at Lodge house, Manchester Road Park,157 Manchester Road, within Bury.
- They are a Supported employment service - young people and adults to help find employment and generally work on enhancing work life skills - independent living skills, reaching potential, paid employment on the future.
- It can be on a 1 to 1 basis or small group
- You could be working in community cafe, bowling greens, horticulture - outdoor work
What skills do you Need?
- Must have recent experience of working as a Casual Support Assistant BEST, Young Adult / Adult Support Worker, or Family Support Worker
- Must be physically fit and healthy, as you may have to assist service users.
- Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to the public, other members of staff and managers.
- Full UK Driving Licence, and access to a vehicle
- Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service
