Machine Operator

Our client are a specialist and niche Manufacturing firm who supply their bespoke products across the world to various sectors including Electronics, Healthcare, Automotive, Fashion, Pharma, Aerospace and Industrial. The business has undergone significant growth the last few years and boast an impressive factory and excellent work culture are now looking to recruit a Machine Operator. Machine Operator Key Duties:

Set-Up and Operation:

  • Set up and operate SMT equipment, including screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and automated optical inspection (AOI) systems.
  • Load and unload components and materials onto SMT machines as per the production schedule and job specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings and parameters to meet specific job requirements.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect assembled PCBAs for quality and adherence to specifications manual inspection methods.
  • Ensure all products meet industry standards and company quality expectations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate production records, including setup sheets, inspection reports, and machine logs.
  • Report any discrepancies, defects, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

Machine Operator Preferred Requirements:

  • Ideally have experience of operating and running machinery
  • Experience of machine changeovers and set-ups would be advantageous
  • Can follow set instructions and processes
  • A can-do attitude and happy to learn
  • Must be happy to work on a permanent afternoon
  • Attention to detail is critical
