MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (STRUCTURAL)

Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer.
We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of commercial projects, producing design for use in the renewables sector.
THE ROLE:
- Working in the design team on a range of Design projects, the company designs a range of systems, used for mounting.
- Taking a lead on R&D projects.
- Responsible for Geotechnical calculations for site specific projects.
- Working closely with the sales team, producing quick design where required to enable quotations to be presented to prospects.
- Modifying existing products across the range, to ensure efficiency is maintained and they stay ahead of the competition.
- Travel to sites where required, this is not a large part of the role and will be fairly rare.
THE PERSON:
- Experience using a design package such as Revit or Tekla structures.
- Knowledge of the Renewables sector.
- Experience doing design related calculations.
- Ability to design for manufacture and assembly.
- Problem solving and trouble shooting ability.
- Chartered Structural Engineer (ideally).
