Our client design and manufacture Electronic components for Aerospace, Maritime, and Commercial interiors. They are looking for a well-organized manager to join their growing team!
Purchasing Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 4 including a Purchasing Administrator, Office Junior and two Stores Administers
- Ensure that the Purchasing department are abiding by company procedures including QA reporting, be forward thinking and look into proceed improvements for Purchasing
- Manage the companies purchasing requirements, planning and scheduling for orders
- Produce and present (when necessary) reports on the Purchasing departments effectiveness
- Work with staff to improve performance and skills, being responsible for staff recruitment and retention
- Work on strategies to improve supplier performance, reduce returns and decrease component costs
The ideal Purchasing Manager will:
- Have prior experience in a similar role
- Will have experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Have a good understanding of AS9100 standards and Aerospace Traceability
- Be IT literate, able to create detailed reports on performance
Working Hours + Benefits:
- Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 17:00
- 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
- 1 Birthday Day
