They operate from a new 39,000 square foot facility in Oxfordshire, equipped with engineering labs, custom test and validation facilities, and the manufacturing capacity to produce up to 20,000 units per annum.

The Opportunity

Join my clients dynamic and innovative team as a Dyno Test & Verification Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of advancing electric flight technology, contributing to the decarbonisation of the aerospace sector. You will have the chance to work on groundbreaking projects, leveraging your expertise to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans for functionality, performance, and durability.
  • Conduct additional testing during the product lifecycle.
  • Liaise with external test houses to deliver tests and maintain schedules.
  • Develop and write test cases to meet project requirements.
  • Supervise Test Technicians during test setup and operation.
  • Prepare test rigs and equipment; set up data acquisition systems and software.
  • Review and sign off on test installations, ensuring best practices and safety.
  • Analyse data and produce engineering test reports.
  • Support HSE requirements, develop SWIs, and assist with risk assessments.
  • Identify and implement improvements in functional test areas.
  • Maintain and calibrate test rigs in line with requirements.
  • Assist with test rig upgrades and new rig builds.
  • Address organisational initiatives and engineering issues.

About You

  • Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with dynamometers, laboratory equipment, and testing motors or powertrain systems.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or NI tools for data analysis and custom script creation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Hands-on approach to test setup and instrumentation/data acquisition.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passionate about green technology and its application in aerospace.
