MS512 - Demand Planner Analyst

Location: Denby, Derbyshire

Salary: £40,000 per annum Circa

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Demand Planning Analyst on behalf of one of our clients.
As the demand planner for Europe, you will play an integral role in building and managing the relationship between the Commercial & Supply Chain teams. It gives you great exposure and helps you learn the end-to-end workings of the business by dealing with multiple stakeholders including Sales (across a variety of EU markets), Marketing, Finance as well as the broader supply chain team. A great role that offers process and structure but also gives you the opportunity to support key initiatives to improve service and cost within the supply chain.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the sales & operations planning cycle by preparing for and facilitating demand review meetings and updates into supply review.
  • Generating the base forecasts on a monthly basis and interrogate key forecast trends to highlight potential risks/opportunities within the forecast.
  • Support communication to the commercial teams and service recovery & reviewing forecast consumption week by week.
  • Compile and review weekly/monthly reporting and interrogation of demand planning KPI's & commentary analysis.
  • Attend project meetings for NPD/EPD & SKU exits to ensure forecast alignment.
  • Facilitate inventory health discussions with various commercial markets across Europe.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a supply chain environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to use multiple data sources to understand trends.
  • Process orientated but also able to flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Good at building relationships and being able to influence different stakeholders.
  • Able to bring clarity to complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Good presentation skills, particularly being able to be clear and concise.
  • S&OP and/or SAP experience desirable but not essential.
