About the Role: As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated support to young children with diverse special educational needs, ensuring they receive the best possible start to their educational journey.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a stimulating, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured activities and play.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Encourage independence and confidence in young learners.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in EYFS, particularly those with SEN.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or special education (desirable but not essential).
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
