We are looking for experienced Midwives to join our Community Midwifery teams caring for women and families at one of the Trusts in South East England. This role involves working with a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Community Midwives, delivering exceptional maternity care in various community settings.
Job Description:
This is an exciting time for our service, and we invite you to join our team of midwives to help shape services that support women's choice in place of birth. You should have completed a preceptorship programme and achieved Midwifery competencies such as cannulation, water birth, and suturing. Participation in an on-call system for community midwifery is required.
Each community team is supported by an experienced lead and works closely with stand-alone Birth Centers in the area, providing opportunities to gain experience in these environments.
Skills & Experience:
- Sound knowledge of recent Government/Professional documents with an awareness of their implications for service provision
- Demonstrated motivation for maintaining professional development
- Ability to work within both acute and primary health care settings
- Previous experience in community and hospital settings
- Ability to use flexible, innovative approaches to practice tailored to individual clients' needs
- Knowledge of change management theories and their impact
