Sales Executive

The Role

The Direct Sales team function aims to increase new business, identify external opportunities and maximise in-house cross-selling. The function consists of three teams including Lead Generation, Deal Closing & Renewals.

The purpose of the Sales Executive is to create opportunities through new and existing data, progress all inbound enquiries to the end sales stage and exhaust all inhouse sales opportunities in-house and externally.

The Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for converting sales opportunities provided through the lead generation team and marketing platforms.
  • Generating your own sales opportunities through new and existing data (CRM).
  • Develop new business relationships with potential clients by offering our products via superior customer service.
  • Achieve productivity and Company budget KPIs set out by the Company.
  • Develop an understanding of customer requirements to offer a client-focused service.
  • Adhere to FCA Conduct rules and Core Responsibilities relating to the Sales function and the role.
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline and ensure administration is completed on the internal systems to aid the fair treatment of customers.
  • Create and be accountable for all client quotes and proposals, following the Finance procedures through the whole process.
  • Perform your role with a positive and constructive attitude within the team environment.
  • Ensure all compliance regulations and legislation are adhered to where relevant.
  • Any other request deemed reasonable from your line manager.
  • Present potential clients predominantly through telephone contact.

The Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and desire to drive success.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to achieve the highest standards.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and influence decisions.
  • Previous experience within a high-performing Sales environment, a minimum of 12-24 months required.
  • Previous experience in a Financial Services environment would be advantageous e.g. insurance, lending, business-to-business.
  • Salesforce experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Computer literacy.
