JA1349 – Caretaker/Porter
Location - Croydon
Salary - C£25K
Hours – 0800-1600 Monday-Friday
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for Porter for 2 residential buildings in Croydon. The successful candidate will be always responsible for the safety and security of the residents and buildings as well as liaison with the Managing Agents. The ability to use a smart phone and WhatsApp is essential. These buildings are a 7-minute walk apart and the morning will be spent at one and the afternoon at the other.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Security of residents and building.
- Ensure access to the properties are kept tidy by minor rubbish clearance.
- Report any maintenance issues to the managing agents, especially if there is communal plant out of service.
- Maintain health and safety reports.
- To report issues requiring the attention of external contractors to the managing agents
- In an emergency to call the Managing Agents
- Liaise with residents especially it terms of maintenance work which is to be carried out.
- Supervise contractors to ensure all work is carried out safely.
- The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
Skills & Experience:
- A strong character is required for this role.
- An ability to be adaptable.
- Good communication skills.
