Job Responsibilities:
- Work alongside families to respect their rights and collaborate with them, promoting children's upbringing within their families when possible.
- Develop high levels of skill in motivational practice to support families in making positive changes.
- Triage contacts to determine if they meet the threshold for a statutory social work assessment.
- Assess family needs, strengths, and risks, creating SMART plans to address them.
- Conduct child protection investigations and involve families in developing plans to reduce harm.
- Initiate legal proceedings or seek s20 agreements when children cannot be safely cared for within their families.
- Collaborate with commissioning, fostering, and adoption teams to identify high-quality placements for children.
- Maintain accurate and effective case records, assessments, and plans.
- Foster strong relationships with legal services and family courts for efficient legal proceedings.
- Ensure children's and families' views are integral to care plans, promoting integrated support across teams.
You will also recieve plus an additional payment of up to £6,000 across your first 18 months!
