We are seeking a dynamic and passionate PE Teacher to provide maternity cover at various secondary schools in South East London, starting this September. Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons to students of varying backgrounds and abilities, ensuring high levels of participation and effective learning.
- Develop lesson plans that comply with the national curriculum and cater to a range of physical abilities and interests.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to aid their physical development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives that promote a healthy lifestyle.
- Participate in meetings with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and strategies for support in physical education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching PE at the secondary level.
- A thorough understanding of physical education and various sports.
- Strong classroom management and motivational skills.
- Advocacy for inclusive and differentiated instruction to meet all students' physical education needs.
