Location: Shefford, with work across the Central Bedfordshire area
Contract Length: Initial 3-month contract, with potential extensions up to 12 months
Pay Rate: £50 per hour (via Umbrella or Limited Company)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled Building Control Surveyor to join Central Bedfordshire Council on a temporary contract. You'll be responsible for overseeing both statutory and non-statutory functions as part of the Local Building Control Authority.
_Key Responsibilities: _
- Overseeing the Council's statutory and non-statutory functions as a Local Building Control Authority
- Managing building regulation applications and providing guidance on policy and technical solutions
- Handling Building Control projects, including complex technical negotiations
- Acting as an expert witness for the Council in building regulations enforcement
_Requirements: _
- Class 2 F Building Control Inspector (minimum)
- Membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or CABE (Chartered Association of Building Engineers)
- Registered with the BSR (Building Safety Regulator)
- Ability to manage high workloads effectively
