Bookkeeper/Accountant

My client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Standalone Accountant to join their small team. The successful applicant will be AAT level 4 qualified and have minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or qualified by extensive experience.

The Role:

The successful person will be responsible for providing financial control and administrative support, managing office operations, and ensuring efficient day-to-day functioning of the office. Attention to detail is imperative.

Accounts Duties

  • Purchase ledger
  • Invoicing,
  • Payroll,
  • Bank reconciliation,
  • Payment runs
  • VAT returns
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and data analysis

Administration Duties

  • Manage and maintain office supplies inventory
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings
  • Handle incoming calls and provide excellent phone etiquette
  • Maintain accurate records and databases
  • Provide administrative support to staff members as needed

Skills

  • Proficient in financial management tasks
  • Strong clerical skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office for document creation and management
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and office management practices
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
