The successful candidate will provide the experience, knowledge and skills to deliver the vital role of day-to-day responsibility for the profitability, success and growth of their clients.

My client is a renowned player in the public affairs industry with a significant presence in Whitehall and Westminster. It employs over 20 staff with various specialisms and has a reputation for providing high-quality services that exceed client expectations.

They are looking for a 'Senior Account Manager - Public Affairs and Communications'.

Description

For the Senior Account Manager - Public Affairs and Communications:

Job purpose:

  • To provide support and assistance across clients to ensure that day-to-day handling and administrative requirements for particular clients are met.
  • In addition, to provide: press and political monitoring; additional research capability (from desktop research and third-party sources); and to assist in the drafting of advice notes.

Key Tasks:
General:

  • To assist with the delivery of specified tasks for assigned client accounts effectively; promoting trust and confidence in the relationship;
  • To help in the production of key account documents for Associate and Account Directors as required (advisory/briefing notes; media engagement outputs; briefing reports; speeches; and presentations);
  • To contribute to and initiate new ideas and fresh thinking on client communications and public affairs strategies and tactics;
  • To draft written materials for clients as required (e.g. articles, speeches, op-eds, press releases);
  • To oversee and supervise junior members of the team (e.g. Interns) as required;
  • Any other reasonable duties as laid out by line managers.

Profile

The successful Senior Account Manager - Public Affairs and Communications applicant will have experience in:

  • Analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Understanding of the way the business operates its services, markets and strategy.
  • Projecting and presenting a professional image and communicate effectively.
  • Defining and responding to existing and potential clients' needs and expectations (both internal and external).
  • Contributing to the development of the business as an individual and team member.
