Commercial Manager / General Manager

Reed are exclusively working with a leading organisation in King's Lynn, recruiting for the position of Commercial Manager / General Manager to join the team.

Within the role, you will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of the company, with particular reference to the development and implementation of the company's growth strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing sales, marketing, product, human resources, finance, administration, warehouse, and purchasing departments.

Role Objectives:

  • Develop and enhance a profitable program which meets the business's market needs, whilst further developing existing projects, product ideas and partnerships.
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge and skill areas.
  • Managing all activities of the business whilst ensuring bottom-line profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • The effective running of all Sales & Marketing operations whilst developing new business opportunities.
  • Preparation and implementation of financial plans and budgets, and monitoring of progress will be required to ensure the Company attains it's objectives efficiently from a financial perspective.
  • Providing advice to the Board of Directors, plan cost-effective business strategies and develop innovative ideas.
  • Supervising managers and supervisors, providing leadership and motivation to all employees.
  • The implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the Company complies with all legal, safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Management of telesales, customer service and sales agent operations.
  • Ensuring all direct electronic mailing and social medias are delivered according to the Company's marketing plan.
  • The preparation of annual sales, costing and capital budgets for all activities within the Company and reporting to the Board.
  • Recommending key decisions regarding the organisation and being accountable for those decisions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior managerial role.
  • An in-depth understanding of productivity management and how to implement change to improve profitability levels.
  • At least five year's senior level experience of management of people and resources.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain financial plans and a good understanding of financial management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead people.
  • Degree educated or other relevant industry qualifications preferred.

  • Salary of £60,000- £75,000 dependant on experience
