Our client is looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team in Great Yarmouth. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment faults to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production efficiency. Your broad skill set will be utilized across mechanical, electrical, and potentially other areas, making this a varied and challenging role.
Key Responsibilities of the Multi-Skilled Engineer role include:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, identifying potential issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out effective repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Perform fault diagnosis using relevant tools and techniques to identify and rectify issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to develop preventive maintenance strategies and optimize equipment performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and productivity.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
To be considered for this Multi-Skilled Engineer role, you will need the following:
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and potentially other relevant engineering disciplines.
- Proficiency in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and their practical application.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeship completion would be advantageous.
Shift Patterns:
- 4 on, 4 off
- 2 day shifts consisting of 6am - 6pm
- 2 night shifts
