Hays Education are working with a secondary school in the Wirral who are seeking an experienced, qualified teaching assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
Your new role
This role is working with KS3 and KS4 pupils outside and inside the classroom. The role includes the following:
- Supporting the class teacher
- 1:1 and group work outside the classroom with pupils
- Small group interventions with Maths and English
- Behaviour management
- Supporting SEN pupils
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role, you must have a current DBS on the update service/be willing to apply for one as well as:
- Level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification/relevant qualification
- 1+ years experience within a secondary school (reference needed)
- Experience running small group interventions outside the classroom
- Experience supporting SEN pupils
- Relationship building skills
- Behaviour management skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding
