Our services extend beyond practical support, offering opportunities for social engagement, skill development, and community involvement. We encourage individuals to take part in activities, build friendships, and explore new experiences, while also providing a supportive environment to discuss their thoughts and feelings. At Threshold Edinburgh, we are committed to helping people achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Are you eager to make a genuine difference in the lives of others? CrossReach is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to offer vital care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.

In this role, you will ensure the safety and well-being of service users while aiding in life skills development, budgeting, and financial management. Building strong, supportive relationships with both service users and their families will be key.

You'll play a crucial role in upholding high standards of care, participating in service evaluations, and staying current with developments in social care. Collaboration with professionals and reflecting our Christian values in your work will be an integral part of your role.

We're looking for candidates with an SVQ Level 3 qualification and basic computer skills. Previous care experience is advantageous, but a strong Christian faith and alignment with our values are essential. Membership with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and registration with the SSSC are also required.

If you're ready to leverage your skills and passion to make a significant impact, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to join CrossReach and help individuals live their best lives.

We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others.

Firstly, there is access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card. We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family are made easier with our suite of enhanced family friendly policies and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.

But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.
