Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (0.5-hour lunch)
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join a team based in Stourbridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control and invoicing, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Invoicing: Manage a high volume of daily invoicing accurately and efficiently.
- New Accounts and Credit Checks: Set up new customer accounts, perform credit checks, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
- Credit Insurers: Liaise with credit insurers, renew monthly accounts, and manage relationships effectively.
- Customer Invoicing Queries: Resolve customer invoicing queries promptly and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Export Invoicing and Procedures: Handle export invoicing and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and regulations.
- Proformas: Prepare proforma invoices for customers without a credit account.
- Credit Control: Chase overdue invoices, send copies, and manage the debt collection process.
- Debt Collection: Put customers into debt collection and coordinate with credit insurers when payments are not received.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar credit control or invoicing role.
- Strong knowledge of credit control processes and financial regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with export invoicing and procedures is advantageous.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
