Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a brilliant Special school in the Bristol area. They are looking for Learning Support Workers to join the team from September to provide additional support to the students inside and outside of the classroom.

This wonderful school looks after a wide range of special needs that includes ASD, Complex Needs, MLD, SLD & SEMH. The school have a few different sites so look after students aged 2-16. They have a few vacancies currently, so whether you're looking for full-time or part-time - you are encouraged to apply!

The Role

As just mentioned there are a few different roles available at the school, there are a couple of 1-1 positions and then more general class support.

You will be expected to:

  • Have experience of working with Special needs & disabilities (preferably within a school setting)
  • Support students on a personal level as well as educational
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Provide on-going support to the class teacher
  • Always be proactive with your approach
