Engineering Manager

Salary - Circa £47,000 per annum plus company car & benefits
Hours - Average 47.75 hours per week, which includes one 6 hour Saturday morning per month. Start/Finish times to be agreed, but will be between 6.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday

As the Engineering Manager you will manage the Engineering function across four quarry sites and three engineering workshops.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working Monday to Friday plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

What will you be doing?

- Operating the Engineering Department in accordance with Health and Safety
- Ensuring management control and supervision of all engineering activities
- Ensuring that inspections are completed, and defects reported
- Liaising with Operations Manager and the Health and Safety Representative
- Working in accordance with Environmental Management System and promoting environmentally considerate work practices
- Developing good communications and professional relationships
- Ensuring that employee timesheets are recorded accurately

What we're looking for

- Experience in the Maintenance and repair of all types of quarrying plant
- Management experience in a quarry or similar industrial facility
- A minimum of a QCF 6/NVQ4 in Extractives Management, or the willingness to study for it
