Nigel Wright is recruiting on behalf of an established client within an expanding Global market who will be adding a new Accounts Payable role to their existing team. Senior Accounts Payable Assistant Hybrid role - 2 days in the office, flexible hours Permanent Leeds £27,000 - £30,000 Free Parking on site

The role...

The main purpose of this role is to provide an effective delivery of all aspects of Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger, employee expenses and optimisation of creditors. Some of the key day to day duties will include:

  • Ensuring Supplier spend follows company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate recording of all transactions in ledgers, including credit notes and staff expenses
  • Full accountability for processing and management of the AP Ledger.
  • Assisting with reporting forecast payments for inclusion in both short/long term cashflow forecasts
  • Preparing and processing payments based on company payment policies
  • Processing invoices for payments using 3-way match
  • Interaction with venders and purchasing to resolve invoices
  • Reconciliation of Accounts
  • Setting up new suppliers, working with other departments to ensure full information is maintained and risks managed
  • Identifying potential issues to the AP Manager
  • Working with the AP Manager to provide accurate information.

What we are looking for...

  • Someone with previous experience of working in a fast paced environment within an Accounts Payable / Purchase ledger role
  • Self-starter with discipline to ensure routine tasks are performed to specific deadlines
  • High attention to detail, good communication skills and taking full accountability for the AP Ledger
  • Will need a flexible approach to work when assisting with ad hoc projects
  • Experience of working with multiple currencies would be beneficial
  • Experience of ERP systems
  • Management of AP Ledger within wholesaler and B2B retailer would be desirable
  • Experience of dealing with a heavily populated AP inbox would be a requirement for this role
