Senior Project Support Officer

This role has a starting salary of £35,730 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week. This is a 12-month fixed term contract/secondment opportunity.

We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Project Support Officer to join our fantastic team. The team is based in Woodhatch Place, Reigate and is supporting the roll out of a large Transformation project that will manage change over the course of one year. The team is dynamic and energetic and no two days will be the same. There will be some opportunities to work from home as well as a requirement to attend some meetings in-person.

About the Role
As a Senior Project Officer, you will provide project management and administrative support for a multi-disciplinary team, such as scheduling meetings, minute taking, tracking actions and production of reports on the project. Integral to the role will be communication with a broad range of stakeholders both internal and external and collaborative cross-team working with colleagues across Surrey County Council (e.g. IT, HR, Communications) as required.

Working with the Project Manger, you will manage status trackers for successful delivery of the project and oversee documentation to ensure compliance with governance and reporting. There will be regular team meetings and updates where the whole team will be able to work together to contribute to a responsive approach, problem solve issues that arise, manage risks and proactively plan for upcoming stages within the project.

The team will be responsible for successful delivery of a complex transformation project in Surrey. You will be working alongside a Project Manager and other dedicated multi-disciplinary resources including HR and Comms to ensure the project is successfully delivered on time and with exemplary outcomes for the residents of Surrey.
