Salary: £40,000 to £45,000, Monday to Friday (1 day working from home)

Responsibilities:

As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of 4 and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all Accounts Payable tasks. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, scheduling, and directing daily tasks and activities of the Accounts Payable team.
  • Developing and implementing procedures and guidelines in line with CAPP standards to ensure efficient processing and mitigate the risk of theft and fraud.
  • Overseeing internal controls to ensure compliance with Accounts Payable functions.
  • Ensuring equal distribution of work among the team and promptly responding to internal and external requests.
  • Processing electronic transfers and payments, reviewing staff expenses, and conducting aged creditor reviews.
  • Maintaining, approving, and reconciling Accounts Payable transactions.
  • Reviewing and verifying invoices, setting them up for payment, and entering them into the financial system.
  • Authorising payment runs and fostering inclusive and respectful working relationships.
  • Effective communication with co-workers and the wider accounts team.
  • Ensuring accurate posting of invoices to the correct GLs.
  • Assisting with testing for projects and upgrades.
  • Identifying opportunities for process efficiencies within the Accounts Payable function.
  • Carrying out adhoc tasks as required.

Essential:

  • Accounts payable qualification CAPP
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Manager in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Professional attitude and ability to engage with people at all levels.
  • Strong customer focus and good knowledge of Oracle-based systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working across multiple Outlook inboxes.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Desirable (Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience):

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Highly numerate and accurate, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Historic experience of using NetSuite.
  • Service Industry Experience (Manpower).
