**Cover Supervisor Duties
- Supervising classes in the absence of the permanent teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged.
- Providing assistance to students when needed, while not actively teaching the curriculum.
- Implementing the school's behaviour management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Adapting to different classes and subjects throughout the day, typically spending one lesson with each group of students.
- Working across various schools in East Sussex, with the potential for regular supply work during busy periods.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience as a cover supervisor is advantageous but not essential.
- For graduates, a degree in any discipline, demonstrating your capability to work in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to follow school policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and students.
