Financial Accountant | £55,000 - £60,000 + bonus | Global Media business | Brentford (3 days in the office, with the option to work in the London office 1 of these days) | Permanent role
JasperRose is partnering with a multinational Media business that is looking to hire a Financial Accountant working in their UK headquarters based in Brentford (3 days in the office with flexibility for 1 day to be in London). You will be sitting in the finance reporting team, responsible for the management and financial accounting for the UK entity which has a turnover of £400 million. You will specifically support with the accounting for one of the divisions and will also be involved in various project-based work including the transition from Sage to SAP.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of the financial accounts for one division including statutory accounts and compliance
- Supporting with various projects including the transition from Sage to SAP
- Owning balance sheet reconciliation for your division
- Preparing VAT returns
- Owning the month-end process for your division including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Managing intercompany accounting including FX rates
- Supporting with lease accounting (IFRS16)
Skill set required:
The successful candidate will either be a Qualified Accountant or Masters equivalent with experience working in a business of £100 million turnover plus. You must have strong financial and management accounting experience including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany work. Knowledge of SAP is desirable as is experience working in the media or consumer industry. To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication skills, be proactive in nature, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
