As such, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join them on this journey.

Your new role
You'll be a key player in the Infrastructure Project Delivery function, driving Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, and Supplier Relationship Management projects to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
You will:
- Lead strategic sourcing activities to appoint Delivery Partners and manage complex infrastructure solutions.
- Oversee contractual and commercial management, delivering commercial value.
- Execute Supplier Relationship Management for key suppliers within the project delivery.
- Develop demand plans for contracts to leverage buying power and drive efficiencies.
- Drive business Category Strategy to deliver cost-effective solutions and business models.
- Manage the supplier base and ensure competition.
- Execute the RFx process in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Prepare and execute contracts appropriate to the sourcing strategy.
- Lead contract risk and opportunity strategy and ensure contract compliance.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel, and be a skilled negotiator and influencer. They should have a deep understanding and practical experience of complex NEC contractual arrangements and supplier management strategies. The ability to translate and analyse financial information, such as supplier accounts and cost data, is crucial. Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills are a must, along with a proactive approach to risk and opportunity management. Strong leadership and people management skills are essential, as is a proven track record of developing and delivering the Supply Chain Strategy and achieving business objectives on time and within budget. Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contractual arrangements, managing large complex infrastructure contracts, and handling multiple stakeholders and priorities is required. The candidate should be an expert in NEC Contracts and defined contract roles, and have experience with outsourcing arrangements and TUPE. Experience in a Procurement and/or Commercial Function, driving and delivering change programmes, and working in cross-functional teams across multiple programmes is necessary. The candidate must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role. Desirable qualifications include MCIPS, MRICS or APM Project Management qualification or equivalent experience. Use of Oracle Business System or equivalent, proven knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights, Trade Controls and Earned Value Management (EVM), experience in a regulated environment, and experience of influencing business stakeholders in a senior and executive position would be advantageous. The ability to develop business opportunities leveraging the supplier base and experience working on a licenced site would also be beneficial.
