Garment Technologist

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical development of garments from initial design through to production.
- Create and maintain detailed technical packs, including size specifications, construction details, and fabric performance requirements.
- Conduct fit sessions, ensuring garments meet the brand's standards for comfort, style, and functionality.
- Liaise with suppliers and factories to solve any technical issues and ensure garments are produced to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to review samples and provide feedback on fit, construction, and fabric.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, ethical, and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Continuously improve garment performance and innovation by staying updated with the latest technologies, materials, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Garment Technologist, ideally within casual or lifestyle apparel.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with pattern making and grading would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in using garment technology software and Microsoft Office applications.
