Role:
As the Communications Manager within a Waste Management Company, you'll play a key role in planning, managing, and delivering a variety of communication and engagement campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Lead communication efforts, including employee communication, press, and social media management.
- Deliver comprehensive campaigns that align with our broader communications strategy.
- Create engaging content for various channels, including articles, press releases, social media posts, videos, and infographics.
- Serve as the first point of contact for communication-related queries and provide solutions.
- Obtain stakeholder buy-in for communication activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain consistency in messaging by adhering to brand guidelines and tone of voice across all channels.
- Direct communication for educational initiatives, ensuring community engagement.
- Collaborate with the wider communications team to share best practices and insights.
Location: Isle of Wight Waste Recovery Park (2 days a week on-site, with travel expenses covered)
Requirements:
- Communications qualification or relevant experience
- Proven experience of leading communication and engagement campaigns, whether in-house or agency-based
- Creative copywriting and editing skills tailored to different channels and audiences.
- Experience in content creation using various tools and platforms.
- The ability to adapt to changing business needs and deliver tailored communication solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to spot and mitigate communication risks.
- Experience of managing external relationships with agencies and third parties.
- Impact-focused: skilled in measuring the success of campaigns and expressing their value.
- Bonus: Knowledge of the Waste Treatment or Renewable Energy sector.

- This is a temp-to-perm role, with the potential for a permanent position based on initial performance.
