**Position: 1:1 SEN Tutor

Location: Hybrid (initially remote, transitioning to in-person)

Employment Type: Full-time (Part-time considered for the right candidate)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Tutor to work with a pupil in their home environment. The role will start as a hybrid position, with a mix of remote and in-person sessions, gradually transitioning to more in-person support. This position is ideal for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or a qualified Teacher with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored educational support to a pupil with SEN, focusing on their individual needs and learning style.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the pupil's education.
  • Monitor and report on the pupil's progress and adapt strategies as needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). Candidates without this will not be considered.
  • Proven experience working with pupils with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the pupil.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HLTA qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in a home tutoring environment.
