**Position: 1:1 SEN Tutor

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Tutor to work with a pupil in their home environment. The role will start as a hybrid position, with a mix of remote and in-person sessions, gradually transitioning to more in-person support. This position is ideal for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or a qualified Teacher with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored educational support to a pupil with SEN, focusing on their individual needs and learning style.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the pupil's education.
- Monitor and report on the pupil's progress and adapt strategies as needed.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). Candidates without this will not be considered.
- Proven experience working with pupils with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the pupil.
Desirable Qualifications:
- HLTA qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in a home tutoring environment.
