Holden Knight Healthcare is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a local council for an experienced and motivated Supervising Social Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting foster carers and making a positive impact on the lives of children in care.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers to ensure the well-being and stability of children in care.
  • Conduct regular visits and assessments to monitor and evaluate the placement and the child's progress.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, fostering panels, and other professionals to ensure all statutory requirements are met.
  • Offer training, development, and ongoing support to foster carers, helping them meet the needs of children with a wide range of needs and backgrounds.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with council policies and fostering regulations.

**Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration and a recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Experience in fostering or children's services, with knowledge of fostering legislation and best practices.
  • Strong communication and assessment skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with foster carers, children, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • A passion for improving outcomes for children in care and providing high-quality support to foster families.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as part of the role.
