Quality Inspector

We are looking for an experienced Inspector to join a global leading manufacture and design engineering company. They produce highly engineered prototypes for several sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Defence.

Work Priority

Supervise Quality Assurance for issues arising from Production, detailed investigations, RCCAs (Root Cause Corrective Actions), lessons learnt, and any other Quality Assurance activities required to ensure the final products meet the Customer requirements

Supervise the on-going improvement of in-house manufacturing operations and quality assurance of outsourced components through the application of both Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving tools and techniques also included in your tasks

Strategic supervision of Inspection

Supervise all Inspection resources

Utilise appropriate Inspection hardware

Ensure Inspection strategies are efficient

Ensure given priorities are worked to

Ensure accreditations and procedures are adhered to

Ensure MRB, NCR and CAR processes are effectively carried out

Assist in management of the inspection budget

Operate company holiday system to ensure Inspection cover is provided

Job Content

Conducting In-production and Final Inspection of manufactured part as required

Control and management of internal and external rejects

Actively review the rejects to establish preventative measures to stop recurring rejects

Continuous improvement plans resulting from Rejects investigations (Internal & External rejects)

Participate in Internal & External audits

Control of in-house calibration process

Liaise and communicate between Production and Inspection team regarding Work Schedule and priorities

Liaise with the Manufacturing Engineering and Production team to implement the improvement plans on manufacturing/assembly processes

Lead or participate in problem solving teams aimed at process improvements

Develop & implement in-process monitoring and measurement for continuous improvement of manufactured products

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm, Friday 7.30am-12.30pm

39-hour week

Salary £35-40K
