Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be once again partnering with a well established organisation in Wantage to help source an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their fast paced, high volume finance function. The role offers a salary of up to £33,000 per annum (based on experience), competitive annual leave entitlement, pension, free onsite parking, 24 hour gym, wellness and fitness classes, subsidised restaurant and progression and development opportunities.
This is a full time, office based role and does not offer hybrid working.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Processing multi-currency invoices
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Dealing with queries, both with suppliers and operational staff
- Ensure invoices are approved and matched to purchase orders
- Ensuring non-PO invoices have the correct approval
- Maintaining invoice reporting as required
- Setting up new and updating the records of existing suppliers
- Post general ledger journals prepared by other staff, as required
The ideal candidate will be a bright and ambitious individual with an eye for progression. A background in accounts would be preferable but this role is predominantly an entry level role. Ideally you will be educated to degree level, holding a degree in a relevant field, and/or an AAT studier, ideally level 3. You will be able to pick up accounting packages and be a confident and clear communicator, excellent in both written and verbal communication. Finally, being able to cope in a fast paced high volume environment is also key in this busy role.
