Governance and Compliance Manager
Salary to c £42,000
Location Poole
We are searching for an experience Governance and Compliance Manager for an impressive Educational organisation, to implement the Governance and compliance strategy an d maintain high q uality governance across the organisation. You will manage a team of Governance Officers and will be responsible for successfully embedding the Governance framework to ensure the organisation remains compliant. Full or part-time candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Leading continous improvement of governance through policy development aligned with organisational values
- Managing a policy review schedule to ensure timely approvals
- Supporting the drafting, formatting and reviewing of documentation for submission to Board Committees
- Advising on governance and compliance best practices, including legal matters for the Board and Local Authority
- Managing a team that supports local governance
- Development of statutory policies including safeguarding
- Website updates
- Assisting in meeting planning, minute taking and action tracking
- Ensuring accurate governance records, including the register of business interests
- Leading recruitment and succession planning for relevant staff
- Supporting compliance audits and assisting in wider meetings as required
Requirements
- Knowledge of Educational governance procedures, law and regulations
- Experienced in managing a team
- Proven experience working in Education and Governance
- Degree Level educated ideally
