Demand Planner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert user of the Demand Planning system and SAP to manage the customer-SKU portfolio.
  • Lead conversations on future volume and sales forecasts for your accounts, ensuring accuracy
  • Manage New Product Development (NPD) forecasts collaboratively with the Deals team. Ensure regular communication with the operations team
  • Assist in business-level discussions about the demand plan and flagging deviations from targets.
  • Guide the sales team through monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.
  • Manage the demand plan on a regular basis, communicating any changes, observations or issues to the Demand Manager and operations team as required
  • Own the baseline forecast maintaining an 18-month rolling horizon.
  • Hold monthly forecasting meetings with National Account Managers and validate each customer forecast.
  • Create and issue forecast variance and accuracy reports to account managers with root cause analysis.
  • Support account managers with promotional planning for their accounts.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in supply chain planning, project management (in a supply chain manufacturing environment) or demand planning.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong project management skills and a results-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and a passion for utilising technology for continuous improvement.
