Marketing Manager

This successful, independent business located near Hook, Hampshire, is seeking a Marketing Manager who will play an important role in leading the Marketing Team, which currently consists of 2 other team members. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring high performance, fostering a commitment to the company values and propelling the business ethos.

The Marketing Manager will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. A strong customer focus approach and a confident manner will enable the Marketing Manager to empower and engage the team resulting in driving the success of the business forward.

This is a full time office based role.

Key Tasks:

  • Identifying and measuring marketing outcomes to increase efficiency of marketing activities
  • Creating awareness and developing the company brand.
  • Determine, plan and direct work flow of Marketing and Procurement daily - forecast and resolve any potential rising issues by implementing workable solutions.
  • Research trends in the market place.
  • Work closely with the Marketing & Social Media Assistant, proofread and sign-off all copy and artwork for the website, all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Pinterest), email newsletters and campaigns, and printed materials.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement & eCommerce Executive and assist with pricing comparisons and updates, product sourcing and marketing of product range.
  • Assist with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing, and campaigns.
  • Use of Canva and the Adobe Creative Cloud to design marketing materials for both digital use and print. Occasionally work with external creative agencies for any materials needing to be outsourced.
  • Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials to clients and third parties in the industry.
  • Ongoing customer relationship management including overseeing the onboarding process for new customers
  • Write creative content, including blog posts, articles, and press releases
  • Budget management and forecasting.
  • Manage PPC accounts - Google Ads and Facebook Ads
  • Undertake effective analysis of all marketing initiatives, share with leadership team and improve client experience and ROI.
  • Website management - Updating content, creating new pages, SEO, and image library management using WordPress and WooCommerce.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly Marketing Reports.
  • Fixing any website issues such as problems with integrations, renewing plugins, domains, and SSL licenses.
  • Management of email campaigns and subscriber lists via MailChimp.
  • Management of customer review platforms - FreeIndex, Google, Trustpilot & Facebook.
  • Assist the leadership team with Monthly Staff Meetings - preparing the presentation, organising set-up, and communicating with the wider team.
  • Produce and manage online forms and questionnaire via Gravity Forms and Typeform.
  • Business & Industry Awards - researching awards, preparing, and submitting applications, and presenting to the panel.
  • Representing the company by attending awards and external events such as trade shows, exhibitions and charity events
  • Assist with the creation and management of online documents and spreadsheets via Google Suit and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Various other ad hoc administration and support duties for other teams in the business.
  • Authorising all Marketing & Procurement Annual Leave and reporting absences to HR.
  • Staff 1-1 Meetings (support, investigations, wellbeing check-ins, RTW etc.) and reporting .
  • Deputise for team members in their absence.
  • Handle client enquiries and any complaints in relation to Marketing & Procurement.
  • Chair information meetings and record minutes.
  • Conduct monthly team huddles with team and record minutes.
  • Plan and organise the purchase of supplies in accordance with purchasing policies and budgets.
  • Attend weekly Leadership EOS Meetings.
  • Recruiting and training marketing team to assist with business strategies.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous Marketing Management experience
  • Degree in Marketing and Business is preferred
