You will be working for an expanding, independent firm of accountants in Andover, Hampshire, with a diverse portfolio of clients. They provide a broad range of services to their clients including audit, accounting, corporate, personal and trust tax.
They are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced practice accountant (part or fully qualified) to provide key support to the accounts team and partners in delivering and developing client services.
The role will include:
- Maintaining accounting records for clients;
- Timely preparation of client focussed, commercially aware, management accounts;
- Preparing/reviewing VAT returns;
- And helping to develop and expand their online services.
The chosen individual will join an experienced team within the Management accounts department and will undertake accounts preparation and bookkeeping work using cloud accounting systems. The firm uses Xerox extensively and would like the chosen individual to be extremely familiar with the system in order to support clients to use the system effectively.
You will be a book-keeper/assistant accountant /senior with experience gained from practice. You will possess advanced Xero skills - Xero Certification would be beneficial - and will be able to confidently speak with clients both in person and over the phone to support their understanding of the Xero accounting system. The role requires an individual who is enthusiastic and self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work to deadlines. There is the potential to expand and develop the role for the right individual.
