Purchase Ledger Clerk

Central Employment is assisting one of its long-standing clients, a leading manufacturing company based in Cramlington, in their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk or experienced administrator This Temp position has a 37-hour workweek, including 8:00 am-4:30 pm shifts from Monday to Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch break. On Fridays, work hours are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, with no lunch break. The company offers 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, with a general two-week shutdown in the summer and three days required for the Christmas shutdown.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices (550-600 per month)
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Corresponding with suppliers by phone and email regarding payment dates and other queries
  • Conducting ad hoc analyses in Excel
  • Running monthly payment run proposals for review with the Finance Manager.

As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be part of a team of three, which includes the Finance Manager and Assistant Accountant. The salary for this position ranges from £22,000 to £24,000, depending on experience.
