Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural steel, with a strong commercial and contractual acumen. Based out of our Uxbridge office, this role will involve site visits and close collaboration with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering for structural steel projects.
- Oversee contract administration, including reviewing and negotiating terms.
- Manage procurement processes, including subcontractor selection and evaluation.
- Prepare and submit accurate interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the structural steel industry.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with the ability to manage complex contracts.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
