Electrical R&D Engineer

A global medical device company are looking for an Electrical R&D Engineer to join their Engineering team on a contract basis. You'll be joining the project's product development/design conception stage for a highly regulated medical device. You will write the requirements to put into the design history file (DFH). Essential design outputs as well. Run Design-failure-mode-effect-analysis (DFMEA). You may have to write the rationales for the requirements too.

Essential skills:
- Knowledge of design controls
- Knowledge of general electrical engineering
- Being able to read electrical circuits
- Testing and providing hypothesis - documenting those results

Highly desirable skills:
- Medical devices experience advantageous or another regulated environment/industry
- General R&D experience useful too (not just electrical focused)

The start date is for ASAP. The initial contract length is for 6 months (with extension options after). The role is based in County Tipperary and will require 4 days onsite per week, the rest of the time you can work remotely. The rate is €55-65 per hour, depending on experience, if you have any expenses please let me know and I can factor that into the rate for you.
